Family Birth Services was started by Joyce Vogel, Certified Professional Midwife and has been offering unique birth experiences since 2005. 

It is the only midwifery service that is locally owned and operated. Joyce has lived in Libby for 19 years and has been the care provider in over 250 births. 

“As a midwife, my practice is dedicated to educating you about pregnancy and birth.  Our initial consultations are without charge to establish a relationship and to allow you to ask all the questions you want.  I believe the family should have every opportunity to make informed decisions regarding their birth.  Since childbirth is an experience that is only gone through a limited number of times in a person’s life, I would like to help you have the experience that you desire.”

At Family Birth Services our focus to is make that experience be personalized and tailored to fit your needs. Our goal is to provide you with the best care, with the least amount of intervention, and continual education.

Family Birth Midwifery Services provides birth assistance in many areas in Montana: 

These include  Lincoln, Flathead, Glacier, Cascade and Sanders County.  Towns of  Libby, Eureka, Troy,  Kalispell, Noxon, Thompson Falls, Heron, Rexford, Shelby, Cut bank, Conrad and Great Falls.
We also offer the birthing apartment to Idaho clients. (we are about 45 min from Bonners Ferry, Idaho)
